ORIENTATION AND MOBILITY

The teaching of Orientation and Mobility began in 2002. The institute focuses on:

  • Concept of Orientation and Mobility.
  • Sighted guide techniques.
  • Self-protection skills.
  • Cane techniques.
  • Orientation of rooms and areas.
  • Table manners etc.

Classes are held once a week from the first grade to the sixth grade. Sensitization programme on the subject is also provided to the parents and the teachers of the regular schools collaborating as an activity of the special education programme.
